Getting a MySQL database created
To get a MySQL database, contact support and specify what you would like
the database to be named. You will then receive the location of phpMyAdmin,
a web-based interface you can use to interact with the database, as well as
a username, password and database name. In most cases, your database will be
available by connecting through localhost and standard MySQL tools are
installed on all servers.
Importing a MySQL database
To import a MySQL database, use the command
mysql -u USERNAME -p DATABASE_NAME < database_dump.sql
and type in your database user password when prompted.
It is also possible to import the database dump via the phpMyAdmin web
interface using the import tab, but due to size limitations we recommend
uploading the database dump to the server and then running a MySQL
import using the command above.
